The Google’s going back to the drawing board Sonnet

Google’s competitors eulogize the news
of Almunia’s request: Time to brood again!
The scheme of the intractable firm needs a tweak
and allow more sites to glow on the promenade.

The EU’s been pestered with claims from rivals
trying to thwart the Internet giant’s control.
If the company remains esurient
for domination, a mammoth fine might come.

Along with success, unyielding conceit came.
Lagging behind competition was tricky;
How difficult must be letting others gain!

The internet needs rules as do other markets.
Good news for costumers beseeching offers!
No great shakes for a leader stalking wealth!

The tender of the discord Sonnet

The well known Page Protective Services firm
has muddled through after early disquiet.
They used to live in a rarefied atmosphere,
this time they could have played as appurtenance.

Wrathful voices denounce a bespoke tender,
and label the firm’s work as meretricious.
The Commission keeps a nonchalant gesture,
which drab and dour gossip names as dissemblance.

Tough competition when it comes to bidding
for keeping safe risky EU embassies.
What kinds of nuances might prod at their wills?

Private hands caring public institutions;
Will such canon at any point be toppled?
At this time, claims from a few MPs rumble.

The 0.5% ECB’s decision Sonnet

Dragui sticks at keeping rates at o point five
to the Bundesbank’s conspicuous chagrin.
The ECB’s been beleaguered by a few,
while others celebrate! they are so sanguine!

Still no news about the German’s lawsuit
against unlimited bonds purchases’ oath.
After the peripatetic vow was spit
wealthier members demurred in a fit of pique.

This time propriety’s market’s not facetious,
There’s not gap between such rate and euribor;
Which means surfeit of money for borrowers.

Not to founder in balancing capitals
stands out as the real pith of inflation,
barring privation leading to jettison.

The EU inquiry into US surveillance Sonnet

The EU Parliament’s trumpeted steps
after having become blasé about rumours
of the US eagle eye pinching data
from the EU lands and plants; what cheeky bugs!

Poring over coveted information,
looking for billows of treasures to give off.
Without fidgeting MPs have decided
that they will not stint on an inquiry.

There’s not just concern outside EU borders,
but with internal hazardous spying too.
Snooping around seems to have been mustered!

Will such an overwhelming complaint suffice?
Governments sticking at piling up secrets.
Barren nations with no easy hideaways.

The 28th EU member Sonnet

More than a perfunctory effort’s been needed.
Now it’s real, Croatia’s the 28th!
Bold and cogent reasons were exhibited
while trying to assuage Slovenia’s distress.

There were not only grouses about borders,
but a noteworthy lack of cooperation
when it came to extraditing citizens
accused of criminal collaboration.

From quixotic dreams in two thousand and three
to stilted talks and a won referendum.
Croatians show off their new EU fealty!

The second former Yugoslav republic
joining the EU; its true métier could be
opening a new door for neighbours to join.
